The Journey of a Missionary and Author
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Delores developed a love for literature early in life. Inspired by stories of missionaries and driven by a deep sense of purpose, she answered the call to serve. Her journey led her to Papua New Guinea in 1983, a life-changing experience she recounts in her memoir, Papua New Guinea, 1983. Her mission work didn’t stop there—between 1996 and 2009, she traveled across Africa, an experience beautifully captured in her book Memoirs of Africa, 1996 to 2009.
With over 25 mission trips to her name, Delores has dedicated her life to serving communities in need, spreading faith, and mentoring others. Her experiences have not only shaped her as a leader but have also empowered countless individuals to take bold steps of faith in their own lives.
